More about me

Madwoman

I know the term “crazy” is a bit controversial these days, but I still use it sometimes, though with the knowledge that I’ve spent many a conversation with psychologists and psychiatrists carefully framing my words so that I (hopefully) ensure that I never end up involuntarily hospitalised. The history of psychiatry is terrifying. I’ve been a little crazy since at least junior high. Autistic since birth.

I use the term madwoman in part as a reclamation of a piece of my identity and in part because I love gothic fiction. One of these days, I’ll actually finish the book The Madwoman in the Attic and write a little blog post about it.

Artist

I’m not a professional artist, meaning I don’t sell my work or try to make any sort of living from it (at least not yet) but I think I’m getting more comfortable with calling myself an artist within my own head.

Cottage Witch

I tend toward labels like cottage witch and hedge witch. But I went with cottage witch on YouTube.
