I’m such a geek. I’ve made a spreadsheet of all the pigments I either use or want to try and the gouache and acrylic paints that are available at my local shops that are made with these pigments.

I’ve also made individual swatches of each colour in my various non-paint art supply kits. For instance, I have three plein air options, plus a couple for portraits and one for miscellaneous.

And then I put them on little clasp rings.

It’s just so much fun to be able to play with colour combinations without having to start a new page for each combination.

I didn’t swatch my acrylic colours because there would be entirely too many combinations, but I did swatch my gouache colours.

(Ignore the dusty keyboard!)
That being said, I have played with other ways of colour mixing and swatching my acrylic paints.

It’s always so satisfying to see what colours you can get just through mixing a few pigments.
