Making poppets & war water

I collected some yarrow and smooth broom grass, some cherry, rowan, and elder twigs to make some poppets. I haven’t finished them or put them to use yet because they’re still drying out, but I’m glad I have them.

I’ll probably add some fabric in certain colours and a few other ingredients as needed.

I also made some war water.

I don’t have a specific use case right now but I’m beginning to think I should have something handy in case someone needs to see some consequences or be encouraged to keep their distance.

Combine stagnant storm water, white wine far, rusted nails, cayenne, nettle, wormwood, vinegar, hawthorn thorns, burdock burrs, cemetery dirt, ash, blue pigment. Shake. Start on Tuesday for war and finish on Wednesday for wisdom.

Incantation went adding the nails:

  • For nail of one, you’d better run
  • For nail of two, I’m coming for you
  • For nail of three, you will never be free
  • For nail of four, you are no more.

Incantation when finished mixing: Causing darkness and consequences, I release maleficent energies.
